Rheumatology Association
RAG is a professional organisation of Rheumatologist in Gujarat. The association was founded in 2012. Association is conducting regularly activities for the awareness of Rheumatology among general population.
Vision
To spread awareness in general public about different arthritis and related diseases. Make available information about these diseases in Gujarati language.
Mission
To develop RAG as a strong platform for knowledge sharing and information for Arthritis and other rheumatic diseases, with a pure intention to spread awareness in the society, helping them reach the right treatment at a right time.

The Indian Rheumatology Association (IRA) is the professional organization of Rheumatologists and other health professionals in India.
The speciality of Rheumatology deals with arthritis, autoimmune diseases, musculoskeletal pain disorders and osteoporosis.
Drugs
Steroid
It should be given at the right time, in minimum dose and for necessary period only.
Methotraxate
This drug helps by controlling disturbed immune system. It prevents damage to the organs.
Leflunomide
This drug is commonly used in Rheumatoid arthritis and Psoriatic arthritis.
Sulfasalazine
It is started in small doses and gradually dose is increased to maximum/efficacious level.
Azathioprine
This drug is used in serious diseases like SLE, Polymyositis, Vasculitis Etc.
Cyclosporine
Periodic blood tests are done to monitor blood counts and liver functions and kidney functions.
